About Bren

Drawing a single line can be the the focal point from which an idea can emerge. Bren is an artist and illustrator who is currently focussed on drawing comics. A disciplined artist with a high level of skill rooted in foundational draughting skills, Bren is interested in the fragile porous border between conscious reality and the unconscious world of ideas, and how this shapes our every day experience of reality.
Through an intuitive practice of regular drawing he believes we can come to a deeper understanding of ourselves and the worlds we inhabit. Every drawing is a process of discovery, and this is where the real art happens.
Bren is a strong believer that anyone can be an artist if they practice enough, and is always happy to offer guidance, advice, and encouragement to others. He occasionally teaches workshops focussing on the core fundamental skills of drawing, and has committed to making these affordable. Through sharing, support, and solidarity we can make our communities stronger.
He is currently splitting his time between London and Hong Kong, and draws every day. He is a regular life drawer and an active participant in the art community for both cities.
Bren has had a successful career as a web designer and web developer, and has collaborated on digital marketing solutions for large corporations, small business and start ups, and individuals. If you would like your own website and you're not sure where to start, feel free to get in touch to start a conversation.
