Analog - Issue 2

Story and Art by Bren

Analog issue 2 was intended to be the follow up for Analog Issue 1, however before I could progress this work I ended up working on "Prisoners" with John Outsider. By the time "Prisoners" was complete and published I was doing work for the WIP anthology.

Analog issue 2 has since been delayed and I've made it available on my website for free instead. I do have plans for further stories in the Analog world and to progress the concept into something meaningful at a later date.

Analog is a self-initiated project.

Thumbnail sketches

Analog issue 2 started as a set of thumbnail sketches drawn on marker paper with sharpie. I learned a huge amount from drawing the first issue of Analog and printing it and selling it. I didn't do thumbnails for issue 1 as I didn't think I needed them, but on reflection I could definitely see the benefit in working out a composition and iterating on it before finalising artwork.

I also put together some moodboards and did some visual research for this comic, which I think greatly improved the quality of my art.

I'm continuously learning when drawing comics, and constantly reviewing my process to improve. It's a very rewarding journey.
